Utilizing the visual motif of the city itself, we designed an event launch in Beijing for Touchmedia to introduce the company and its touchscreen outdoor media platform. It being Beijing the design of the visual identity had to capture the city’s political clout and historical importance. In the end we designed the logo in the form of a traditional chop and presented the city and its landmarks in illustrated form to assert its presence throughout the exhibit in a friendly and stylish manner. The visual identity was implemented in a diverse array of forms from exhibition graphics and invitation design, to interactive displays, animations, and an animated keynote presentation.
