We worked with Nike in collaboration with Kin, an original streetwear boutique based in Shanghai, to produce a pop-up shop concept to launch their 2011 “Sport is Art” t-shirt series. Taking the t-shirt line’s premise of collaboration and individual expression as the basis for the project, we invited a group of local artists and musicians to create special pieces based on select t-shirt designs. With Kin being a destination for Shanghai’s urban musicians, we packaged the t-shirts as vinyl LP’s, and transformed the store into a pop-up “record shop,” with the artist projects featured throughout the space.
